Lifetime Warranty

We offer Lifetime Warranty on all new road bikes that we sell!

Please note that this Lifetime Warranty is non-transferable and is not valid unless the claimant provides the fully completed and signed service record of all Mandatory Services, according to the Servicing and Maintenance Schedule – as specified in the owner’s manual and service booklet provided by Horton Motorcycles with every sale. 

Of course, this comes with a few terms & conditions, all of which are outlined below.

Terms and Conditions of Warranty for Road Legal Vehicles:

  1. Your warranty period is as specified in your service booklet and becomes effective at the date of purchase (or date of delivery if this is later).
  2. You must provide proof of delivery/purchase before any work can be carried out. Without this proof any work carried out will be chargeable.
  3. All work will be carried out by Horton Motorcycles or its authorised and appropriately qualified agents.
  4. Any parts that are replaced will become the property of Horton Motorcycles.
  5. The repair or replacement of your vehicle will not extend the period of warranty.
  6. The warranty provides benefits which are additional to and do not affect your statutory rights as a consumer.

Exclusions of Warranty:

  1. Any Parts/components that are subject to everyday normal wear and tear which include but are not limited to the following; tyres, tubes, spark plugs, filters, cables, lights, bulbs, mirrors, batteries, chains, belts, bearings, fairings, air cleaner elements, brake pads, brake shoes, clutch discs, clutch plates, levers, sprockets, fuses, motor brushes, rubber parts etc.
  2. Misuse, neglect, careless operation or handling.
  3. Any vehicle used in competitive or recreational sporting events, at any level, including but not limited to; Trials, Greenlaning, Racing etc.
  4. A failure by the owner to follow full maintenance and service schedules as detailed in the owner’s manual and service booklet.
  5. Any parts/products that are not serviced, maintained, used or stored in accordance with the recommended procedures, good practice or common sense.
  6. The use of parts not assembled or installed in accordance with the instructions of the manufacturer.
  7. The use of parts or accessories which are incompatible.
  8. Faulty installation or workmanship by any third party.
  9. Repairs or alterations carried out by anyone other than Horton Motorcycles or its authorised agents.
  10. Any vehicle whose mileage exceeds 8,000 miles/year or 3,500 miles in the first 6 months due to the running in period.
  11. Any vehicle that has been resold/registered to another user, or sold to or used by a business, or used for training, renting or leasing purposes.
  12. Any parts/components that are by common sense or trade practice excluded from warranty.
  13. Any indirect costs that may occur due to the vehicle being out of service, which include but are not limited to;   communication costs (letters, phone calls, etc), alternative transport, vehicle breakdown collection/delivery costs, etc.
  14. Any vehicle that has been serviced, repaired or modified by a person other than Horton Motorcycles.
  15. Faulty installation or workmanship by any third party.
  16. Any vehicle that has been tuned, modified, or fitted with parts/components that;
  17. Are not supplied by Horton Motorcycles or the importer; or
  18. That are incompatible with the vehicle; or
  19. That are performance/non-standard aftermarket parts.

Please note: With any vehicle refunds the on the road fee is non returnable.
